Why Synchronization Has Become an Essential Requirement

What is roger technology master-slave technology?

Master-Slave technology is an integrated feature available on Roger Technology Brushless automation systems, specifically designed for installations where two motors must operate in perfect synchronization.

One motor is assigned the role of Master, while the other is configured as the Slave.

From that moment onward, the system no longer functions as two independent automation units, but behaves as a single automation system.

Every command—whether it comes from a remote control, key selector, access control system, home automation system, or any other control device—is received exclusively by the Master motor, while the Slave motor automatically processes the commands in complete coordination.

The simultaneous opening of the gates ensures perfectly harmonious movement from the very first moment, while synchronized acceleration management eliminates behavioural differences between the two motors.

This approach removes most of the discrepancies that would normally occur between two separate automation systems.

When You're Working with a Very Wide Entrance

🔥 With the B70/1DC and B70/1DCHP control units for Digital Brushless sliding gates, you can activate the Master-Slave function even between two different control boards—and even between motors from different product series, provided they use the same control unit.

💡 Imagine you’re automating a large industrial sliding gate where two BG30/804/HS motors are required to deliver the necessary power and perfect symmetry.

Same Series, Different Models

💡 For example, two sliding gate leaves of different lengths in a residential property, using a BH30/604/HS on one side and a BH30/804 on the other to balance the mechanical load.

✅ Same product series, but different motors selected to suit the installation requirements.

Different Series, Different Models

💡 You’re carrying out a partial upgrade on an existing installation where the customer wants to keep an older BG30 motor already installed while adding a new BM30 motor to automate a second sliding entrance.
